You should wash any stains immediately so-as to not give them an opportunity to be absorbed into the shirt.
When you wash your shirts, undo all the buttons beforehand. This will reduce the strain on the stitches that hold the buttons in place. Make you sure you remove the collar stiffeners before washing, even if you take them to a dry cleaner.
Obviously separate the whites from the colours to avoid dis-coloration during washing, but it may also be worth washing your shirts separately to preserve their colour.
It's worth turning your shirts inside out. This protects the buttons and stops any chance to them catching, but also allows soap powder to work directly on under-arm stains.
Use a gentle washing machine cycle or lukewarm water for washing, we recommend 30C for our 100% cotton shirts.
It's best to dry the shirt either on the line or in an airing cupboard rather than tumble drying. This not only prolongs the life of the shirt but will make it much easier to iron.
When you do iron your shirt, if its slightly damp it will be much easier to remove those unwanted wrinkles.
